Dana Richardson (b. 1985, California) earned a BFA from School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Dana's collection of female portrait studies arise from a desire to inspire women to celebrate their strength and authenticity. Richardson's oil paintings portray female figures as larger than life expressing women's ability to rise above circumstances and create positive change. Richardson believes this is a critical time for women to find their voice, feel empowered, and reflect the positive social changes you seek to create. Dana currently lives and works in Los Angeles, CA.
Richardson's contemporary art has been exhibited in galleries and museums including Whitney Modern Gallery, San Luis Obispo Museum of Art, The Monterey Museum of Art, San Fransisco Museum of Modern Art, The Coos Art Museum, Museum of Northern California Arts, and Museum of Arts and Design NYC (View Curriculum Vitae).
